When you see milk on sale, you can stock up and freeze it. Some people advise pouring an inch or two off of each container before you freeze it, but I never had. Be sure you let it thaw pretty well before you use it, though, or else it will have a watery flavor. (At least when you use skim milk it does.)

ReplyDeleteMilk at HT yesterday (12-5) : Regular price = 3.49, VIC price =2.47. Maybe I need to go get a few more gallons before Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteAre you guys kidding? Milk prices in Western NY are falling through the floor. Just bought 4 gallons of Whole Milk for $1.37/gallon.
